Adult Programs Coordinator/Volunteer Coordinator - Chandler Museum

August 2022 - January 2024

  •  Senior Staff of smaller museum with part-time hours

  • Manages operations for opening and closing on weekends and some weekdays

  • Organizes educational speaker events for adult programs (30 minute programs monthly, 1.5 hour events quarterly)

  • Regularly interview with influential figures of Chandler to build educational programs around city’s cultural history

  • Recruiting volunteers to complete concentrated needs for multiple departments

  • Instructs volunteers on how to edit and upload to Chandler Museum’s digital archives website, ChandlerpediA.org

Panelist Coordinator and Supervisor - Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum

August 2022 - December 2022

  • Contract position for the exhibition, The Changing Chesapeake: A Community Exhibition, to be exhibited in February 2023

  • Voted on applicant panelists to select art for the exhibition, based off experience, location, and relationship to the Chesapeake Bay

  • Coordinated schedules for panelists and CBMM Curatorial department to meet virtually and discuss expectations

  • Organized, labelled, and created an accessible slide deck for panelists to discuss and blind review artwork

  • Independently built slide deck of art using Google Slides and collaborated on the Google Sheets for a blind review form each panelist scoring each piece of art.

  • Coordinator for accepted art works, the expectations of artists, and how to send the work to CBMM

  • Will be designing exhibit labels for accepted art

Education Intern for Accessibility at Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum

  • Researched accessibility standards and creative concepts in landscape and exhibit architecture

Chateau d'Orquevaux Artist Residency

Chateau d'Orquevaux, a magnificent estate in the French countryside of Champagne-Ardenne, offers artists a place with limited distraction and an abundance of natural  inspiration. Lauren McCaulou was an artist in residence at the Chateau d'Orquevaux​ for the month of November in 2023. During the month, she was provided an independent work space and created a series of oil paintings based on the scenic surroundings and completed a self-portrait representing her experince and practice new techniques. 

May 2022

Andrade Ranch Residency

Squaw Valley, CA. Week-long residency. Tours through Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks for studies and plein air practices. Residency purpose to introduce emerging artists to the drastic landscapes of central California.

Installed Museum and Art Exhibitions

Curator and Installer for

"Evan Lindquist Engraving Engravers"

July 2022, Western Colorado University (Quincy Art Gallery) - Gunnison, CO

Graduate student of WCU's Master of Art in Gallery and Museum Management where four students curated and installed 31 works of Artist-Printmaker, Evan Lindquist, as a part of WCU's permanent collection. Lauren McCaulou's role focused on in the installation and design of the gallery space for the artist and gifted works.
